International Shipping & Customs

Romance on Mars ships worldwide from our studio in the Netherlands. Please read the information below carefully before placing an international order, as customs rules, delivery conditions, and import duties vary by country.

We aim to make your experience as seamless as possible.

1. Our Shipping Origin

All orders are packed and shipped from:

We are an EU-based brand. Orders within the European Union do not incur customs duties or import taxes.

2. Shipping Outside the European Union

For all deliveries outside the EU - including the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Asia, the Middle East, and Oceania - your order may be subject to import duties, taxes, or customs clearance fees when it arrives in the destination country.

These charges are not included in our product prices or shipping fees unless explicitly stated otherwise.

Important: You (the customer) are responsible for all import-related charges.

This includes:

  • Customs duties
  • Local import taxes
  • Clearance or brokerage fees
  • Any additional charges levied by your local customs authority

If you refuse to pay the required duties or taxes and the shipment is returned to us, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

3. Delivery Times for International Orders

International delivery times vary widely depending on destination, carrier performance, and customs processing.

Approximate timelines (not guaranteed):

  • EU: 3–7 business days
  • UK: 4–10 business days
  • US & Canada: 7–20 business days
  • Asia & Oceania: 10–25 business days

Customs inspections may extend delivery times. Romance on Mars has no influence over local customs delays.

4. Lost, Delayed, or Held Packages

Once your order leaves the Netherlands, your local customs authority or carrier may place the parcel on hold pending additional information or duty payment.

If tracking shows your package is “awaiting customs clearance,” you must contact your local customs office or carrier directly. We cannot intervene with foreign customs authorities.

A package is considered “lost” only when the carrier confirms it cannot be delivered or located.

5. Refused Packages & Unpaid Duties

If a package is returned to us because:

  • Customs duties were not paid,
  • Delivery was refused,
  • The carrier could not obtain the necessary import information,

Romance on Mars will refund the product cost once the parcel is safely received, minus:

  • Original shipping costs,
  • Return shipping costs charged by the carrier,
  • Any additional fees incurred.
