The Spectacle of Reality

If film gives us the language of light, the street provides the theatre of the real. To walk with a camera is to step into a play that has no script. A gesture in passing, the sudden geometry of buildings and shadow, the rhythm of strangers crossing a square. All of it is unplanned, all of it is unrepeatable.

Street photography is the art of saying yes to the world as it arrives. It asks for patience, for attention, for a willingness to see beauty in the ordinary. A gesture exchanged, the fold of a newspaper, the way smoke drifts above a crowd. These are fragments of life that, once seen, refuse to be forgotten.

At rOm, we carry this fascination into our imagery. Fashion does not stand apart from the street; it breathes the same air, walks the same pavements, bends with the same light. To capture it there is to honor its living context, to remind ourselves that elegance is not only designed but also discovered. It is simply out there, waiting to be seen.

In this way, the camera becomes more than a tool. It is a companion in wonder, a witness to the endless spectacle of reality.
