Boeie and its significance

In Dutch (yes we are Dutch) you have a word ‘Boeie’ (boo-yuh). It kind off translates to ‘who cares’, but then in one word and it carries a completely different energy, a much firmer one. It has the power to make you stop complaining, it is able to lighten your worries, to win an argument, eliminate urgency.

 f you’re ever in a situation, where for instance, someone tells you to not dip your fries in the mayonaise that fell on the pavement, you can just say ‘ah Boeie’ and be on your merry way without any judgement. Because, yeah, boeie.
